Located in the beautiful town of Fleet, The Oatsheaf is located 36 miles south west of London and 10 miles east of Basingstoke.

If you’re driving, the town is easily accessible from the M3, with the nearest junction being 4A.

Fleet train station offers services on the London to Basingstoke line, whilst the regular and reliable local bus service covers a number of routes providing access to surrounding towns such as Farnborough and Aldershot.

 Consistently voted one of the best places to live in the UK, Fleet boasts a quaint High Street with traditional Victorian and Edwardian features, as well as a bustling market. It’s a great place to explore!

Keeping Busy in Fleet

Fleet pond, is one of the largest freshwater lakes in Hampshire, and one of the areas best known attractions. Basingstoke Canal also runs through the area, offering a popular spot for walking, cycling, boating, and fishing. Slightly further afield, Yateley Common Country Park is home to over 500 acres of heathland. Once you’ve worked up a healthy appetite exploring the great outdoors, pop into The Oatsheaf for a refreshing drink or a bite to eat.

For an insight into the area’s history, the ruins of King John’s Castle at North Warnborough, where King John rode to Runnymeade to sign the Magna Carta in 1215.

Other activities and attractions in the Hampshire area include Marwell Zoo, Legoland Windsor, Birdworld, RHS Wisley, Hobbledown, the Aldershot Military Museum, Highclere Castle, and Waverley Abbey.
